Benq DW1610 DVD Writer Trying to Copy DVD Says Insert Blank DVD and then after it says the same thing I tried both Nero and Record Now !! same problem.

My MB is a nForce 2 Chipset that might have something to do with it but I don't think it does.

I can't find anything about this drive there was like nothing usefull that came with the drive.

I have a Benq Dw822A. I had problem installing RecordNow and Incd-Nero. I removed RecordNow and use Nero. Working fine now. By the way, the Benq drive is very picky with DVD-R media. The service told me no...no.. with Sony media.

That might be it I'm using Memorex DVD-R and they seems to be one of the best on my other LG burner.

Well it was picky and din't want to read or write my DVD-R' I took it back getting another LG writer in a couple weeks.

Consider yourself luck. In my part of the world, there is no such favourable return policy. I was told that the drive is OK. It's the -R media that is not compliance to standard. I am not sure if it's fact or crap !
