Anyone else run into any problems when you try to scan your discs? For some reason whenever I use dvdinfo and cd speed to scan a disc it comes back with numurous unreadable sectors and I have no idea why because the discs are perfect when scanned on my pioneer 107 and they play without problems.

The NEC2500a is a fantastic writer. Unfortunately, the read on mine really seems to suck, too.

The best method for me is:
DVD-ROM Driver to read disks
DVD-Writer to write disk/read some protected audio cd's
It's what I do with my Nec ND-2500 which reads a lot better protected audio cd's than my dvd-rom drive -
Have you tried updating to the latest firmware?
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.
