  1. I know how some people dont like newbies (like myself admittedly) to post a question without looking around a bit first. Well I've had my burner for about a month now and still cant copy a dvd successfully. Ive tried diff progs using the directions given on this site, but to no avail. I'm just wasting blank dvds. The copies I make freeze up about 30 minutes in. What causes that and what can I do to rectify it? Thanx in advance!

Normally freezing is caused by Media. What type of media are you using? Here is a good link on media. www.nomorecoasters.com

    1) low quality media (buy better media)
    2) burning at higher speed then the media is rated (burn at lower speeds)
    3) hack firmware on the burner (use OEM FW or one that works better)
    4) software issues (try diff SW)
    5) chair to keyboard interface (read more guides and do more testing)

these to me are the most common probm's when the burn'd DVD freezes.
