  1. I am (a newbie hello) going the process of capturing hi8 to DVD
using AverMedia DVD Ezmaker and encounter dropped frames in the captured MPEG2. Min requirement 2.0Gig or higher. I upgrade from 2600
to AMD3200+. But since the 333FSB DDR doesn't match the 400FSB
on the processor the computer sees only 1.04Mhz CPU speed. Same result. Will uping the DDR to 400FSB allow the computer to "see" the
2.2Gig and render smooth capture? Make sense?

Even if your FSB is 333MHZ, your CPU speed should be higher. You might want to go into BIOS and see if you can set the multiplier higher. Check your motherboard manual.

The CPU speed may not necessarily be your problem. For capturing problems, check out lordsmurfs site, http://digitalfaq.com/.

You will have to set your fsb to 400mhz,the ram speed has nothing to do with this setting. The multiplier setting will be 11x200mhz if you have dipswitches on the motherboard.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.
