How Do I make a VOB file into a mpg?

I ripped a dvd and now I got it in VOB but how do I make it into a mpg?

what are you going to do? many authoring tools and converting tools can open vobs directly. you may get wrong audio track if it is several, you can then demultiplex the vob to video and audio files with for example tmpgenc, under file->mpeg tools and then multiplex back to a mpg file.
