I've got some new DVD+RW discs that were rendered unreadable by one of my burning programs. I suspect the media is still good, but for some reason the drive no longer recognizes the media at all. When inserting a disc it will attempt to determine the disc type, but after 30 seconds it will report invalid media.
Is there a software package that I can use to force the drive to interpret the disc as DVD+RW and then "reformat" the disc so it will be recognized? Is there some other way to fix this?
Appreciate any tips out there.

Thanks Gillies, but I've already done that. Also, the DVD+RW discs worked originally when burning from another program.
