    Can you recommend a free tool to edit....more to the point , cut mp3 files. For ex. , if I am recording any source as mp3 , but then need to trim beginning and end of a selected song title.
    Also , can you suggest one of these 99cent per song websites.

    I use Audacity for that, but keep in mind that Audacity (and most other audio tools) will first decode the MP3 when you load it, and then reencode when you save it. If you can afford the space you're better off to record your audio as a WAV file, edit it, and then export as MP3.
