  1. I have big files from WMV material.

But I need to cut them into smaller pieces.

Do you know any program that can do that for me? :P

PS: and joining WMV files? Are there any programs that can merge several pieces into 1 big file?

    thanks

I use Windows Media File Editor to cut WMV files and ASFJoin to join ASF/WMV files.

You have to change the ASF extension to WMV to open with Windows Media File Editor. I like to open the file in Virtualdub first to find the times where I need to make my cuts. If you don't then it will try and cut at the nearest keyframe which could be nowhere near where you want to make your cuts (type in time under HH.MM.SS.MSEC and hit seek, this will find the exact place to cut file).

You need a copy of ASFbin.exe in the ASFJoin folder for ASFJoin to work.
