    I've encoded a movie clip from divx to half d1 mpeg2 (352x480) and I was just wondering if it should be covering the whole video area or if it should have black borders at the top and bottom (looks widescreen).

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance.

    The resolution doesn't affect the display aspect ratio. Ideally the output should be the same as the input, either widescreen or fullscreen.
