    i just bought this burner off ebay, and it was working fine up untill a couple a couple of days ago. this is what is happening,

    1. can play dvds fine no problem there.
    2. will not reconize blank cds/dvds
    3. will not burn anything. every time its about to finish burning it fails with an error notice

    its really anoying, so if anyone can help that would be great. cheers.

    BTW

    im running on winxp, 512mb ram, 80gig hardrive.

    Sounds confusing. How can you burn (failed or not) if it's not recognizing your blanks?

    Posting the actual error message would probably help too.
    Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.

    If still under warranty, Call LG Support at 800 243 0000 if they can not walk you through it they will replace it. You will need the serial number.

    Even if you are not the original buyer I think they just go by the serial number.
