Hi,
I'm building a new system and am going to be doing some dvd ripping and burning.
I've already decided to get the Pioneer DVR-107 8x DVD±RW writer but -since they are now so cheap- I'm also going to get a DVD reader which will mostly just be used for ripping and to a lesser extent as a CD-ROM reader and CD player.
The supplier that will be building my new system has the following DVD readers available, I've read on forums here that some DVD readers aren't good for ripping and that some are even crippled to stop ripping. Also I'd like region free or easily hacked to make it region free. Bearing all this in mind which of these DVD readers would you guys recommend?
Lite-On LTD-166S White DVD
Pioneer DVD 120S SLOT Loader
Sony DDU1621 DVD-ROM
Samsung SD-616 DVD-ROM
Thanks and regards,
MS
