  1. Here's what I'm doing. Capturing clips from home movies shot with Sony DCR-TRV 900. I want to make SVCD's of my home movies. I have done the following with very nice results: Plug my 900 into desktop via 1394. Capture the movie in Premiere with movie capture. Once I have the raw clip downloaded, I exit Premiere. I open TMPGEnc and load the raw clip I just captured from Premiere and convert it to SVCD. Then, burn to CD using Nero 5.5 under SCVD. Very good results. One thing I need your help on. I want the dates the original video clip was shot on to splash onto the SVCD for a moment when each new section of the captured movie plays. When playing the clip on the 900, you can push a data button on the remote control, and the date/time shows up on the flip out LCD, but not in Premiere. How can I get this date code to show up in Premiere, and ultimately, on my SVCD? Also, if there's a better method to accomplish the whole process than what I've been doing, I'd love to know! Thank you-

  2. Why not just add titles? You do know what Premeire is capable of, don't you?

I suggest you read the manual or some tutorial/book.

  3. Oh sure, I know I could add titles and all that, but it would be so simple to just hit the data button on the remote control, have that date/time code flash on for a second. Plus, I'm just using the raw capture, not putting it on the timeline or doing any rendering.
