  1. Hi,

I'm trying to reauthor a DVD, but I'm facing some difficulties. Whenever I import the demuxed M2V's into Maestro, it shows only a length of 00:00:00:01.

The demuxed M2V seems to be fine in VirtualDubMod, but TMPeg has the same problem as Maestro.

I tried demuxing by VobID already and with demuxing with different programs: Vobrator, VOBEdit, DVD Decryptor. All without any luck.

I also tried fixing the GOP Time Code in DVD Lab (which has no issues with the m2v at all) but again without any luck.

Any help would be much appreciated since I want to avoid reencoding the movie at all cost.

    ok -- simple issue

the dvd when it was made - was made of more than one clip and each clip had a "end of file seq." on it ..

authoring such multiple clips is fine - and normal ..

but later , programs may only read up to the first "EOF" ..

you can frame serve it with virtualdubmod, or convert it with v-dubmod or cut out that segment ..

ive tried mpeg repair and restream to fix these - but in the long run , its just easier either cut apart or re-encode ..

DVD LAB is somewhat overly loose about what is compliant mpeg also -- stuff that would never get parsed in scenarist or maestro , DVD LAB takes without a hitch (like non compliant GOPs for one thing)
