Checking For Errors On A Burnt DVDR

I was wondering whether there is a programme which you can run to make sure your burnt DVDRs (Backed up) are DVD compliant/Or have any other bugs?

I know the best way is to actualy play through your set top box but some times you don't get to watch them until at a later stage. In the meantime you may want to delete the backup files on your hard disk if everything is ok.

DVDinfoPro or nero's Dvd speed,Vso Inspector. All these programs have a scan disc feature to scan for read errors that will tell you about your burn quality.I usually speed test mine with a real fast dvd-rom lite-on HD-166S with the speed locks removed 14x is what it tops out at.And use dvdinfopros rpm test. Or you can just scan disc it. I do that randomly though if your using quality media you shouldn't worry about it.I've backed up over a 1000 and never checked all of them that would be ludacris.Just use good media and a good software and you should be fine.

I almost always use NERO's "verification" option. This adds an extra 15 minutes usually but I find it useful. Many other people do not like it.

From what I heard, DVDinfopro sometimes produces false read errors (I have never experienced it myself though).

Thanks guys. Good media can be difficult to find. What brand do you guys use?

I was wondering whether you guys label your disks?

My new Panasonic seems to have problems with almost every disc.
