    Easily avoided by never buying the "best", or the "latest and greatest". If you already know you are buying "second best", you will never experience this. It has the added benefit that you can enjoy knowing you saved money over the "best".

    What's truly amazing is how passionate people get over a DVD Recorder. Not naming names, we have some folks over in the DVD Recorder forum who would go to blows over an argument pointing out that their machine is a POS ....regardless of the evidence I mean ....come on people. It's only a piece of hardware - not your first-born
