I tried to piece together what you're wanting to do from the other thread. I think what you're looking for is MPEGStreamclip which was around last August.

    MPEGStreamclip

If you have Toast 6 you also can drag the VIDEO_TS folder to the Video window (with DVD Video selected) select the title and click Export. This saves the movie in DV format.

Other applications also export to DV such as DVDxDV and the Export2DV in the licensed version of MPEG2 Works.

MPEG Streamclip requires at least 10.2 (Jaguar).

It also requires the Apple QuickTime MPEG2 Playback Component ($20). Otherwise, you'll have to use something like DVDxDV if you don't want to buy the MPEG2 decoder from Apple.
I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté."

ummm well that might be a slight problem because we only have 10.1.5 and none of the rippers will work.

does anyone have any other alternatives?

  9. I believe OSeX works fine with 10.1 and will fo what you want.
