hi i'm wondering if anyone could help. i tried to convert a a segment of an avi movie, with an added mp3 for sound, to mpeg file with nero. however, the output ended up having the movie segment, but with no sound. on other occasions this worked fine.

i compared this mp3 with ones i had used earlier and found that the only difference was their bit rate. the one i was using was 320kbps, whereas the others ones were 128kpbs. what is bit rate and is this what's affecting the conversion to mpeg?

is there a way of changing the bit rate, if this is the problem?

    thanks

  2. When Tmpgenc is free, why to look for other applications? Nero is a CD burning software and not a encoder! It encoding features are limited. While encoding in Tmpgenc for the first time, select one of the inbuilt profiles. You may try with your altered settings later. Right?
