I recorded radio on my computer at home and turned it into an MP3 file. When I bring it to work and try to play that MP3 file on media player it plays it too fast and it sounds like the chipmunks. From all the help I have received it sounds as if it has something to do with the drivers. I have no idea how to find the correct driver. I am using Windows 2000 and have a sound card that says AC'97. The computer is a Dell. My computer department will not help me. Anybody have any ideas what I should do?

  2. I don't know if it will help, but I had the same problem when I was capturing LD's using Virtual Dub with the audio set to 48000 kHz. I have the same sound card as you. What I had to do was capture at 44100 kHz and convert it to 48000 kHz using Virtual Dub.

What program did you use to capture the audio? I assume you are capturing at 44100 kHz since you are doing MP3's, but check your audio rate just in case.

    I hope that helps.
