yes i know sharpee is not a verb
but I got thermal discs for the first time, they were taiyo yuden 8x R- (only .52 each!) I had no idea thermals where plain metalic/silver, basically looks like the other side of the disk
so i know this questiong is dumb, but i just wanted to make sure'
is it safe to write on thermall discs with a soft point sharppee
I am using these disks strictly for backing up my dvd filled hardrives
thanks!

Its safe, ive labeled all my cds and dvds with a sharpie for the last 5 years without any problems yet.Thermals are used for heat induced labels and are safe to write on.

thank you now i am at ease
I am a sharpee addict, nothing new here, Ive owned so many different ones, the ones with the chisel tip are good for those with artistic ability
right now i have a clickable one, the tip goes in and out like a pen, no more caps!
