i have a dvd thats about 7.5 GB. i want all of it since the special features are vital and for many other reasons. if i shrink this all to one 4.4 gb dvd, im guessing it'll look horrible. so if there any way to split this nicely across two disks? is there any other workaround or solutions?

you would be surprised it wont look "horrbile"
only way to split a dvd on a mac is to do the video portion only.
and then take the extras and reauthor them onto a disk you can burn
just give it a try with the compression, you will be really surprised how good it looks -
i use variable
unless the running time is over 2 hours. Like for a movie thats almost 3 hours [lord of the rings] i would use contstant
otherwise, a normal dvd i use variable
