I have a vcd compatible dvd player but they wont play?

I have been burning vcd's lately with easy cd creator 5 platinum. They appear to be recording successfully. In my dvd player when I insert the vcd it says vcd , then PBC PLAY. I have a dv-333 pioneer which is compatible. Could there be something with ezcd creator 5 that I am doing wrong? It plays in my dreamcast so I know the video file is on the disc. Any help would be great I know I must be close I am doing just as it says. Perhaps with ezcd there is a small thing I have to do. Thanks, BD

Try copying that VCD onto a CD-RW disc, if it works then your DVD player can't read CD-R's. If it doesn't then try making a VCD with VCDEasy (from the tools section here).
