I'm trying to convince my parents to get dsl again and I just wanted to know what are your thoughts about yahoo dsl? Does anyone here have it? If so, is it any good? Also, I mainly want it for ps2 online and xbox live. What do I need to be able to play it in any room? I know that this is rather vague...but any help would be appreciated.

I use the 3Mb SBC (Yahoo) DSL. Best I can say is it's a decent enough price, and the service is fairly dependable.
On the other side....If you get it, DO NOT install any of their software! They will try to convince you that you need to, but you do not. It is the worst adware/spyware I have seen! However, they refuse to offer you tech support if it's not installed, so take your pick of evils. Their tech support sucks.
The only web space they offer is through Geocities, and the so-called free account places ads on your pages. They also do not allow ftp to your site.
I do love the speed, and the 10 sub accounts, and the disposable email addresses. Other than that, when the (did I mention one year) contract is up, I will likely look for an independent DSL provider.
To your last question, I use 802.11b wireless to the other computers in the house. Picked up the router for $9.95 after rebate, and the USB adapters for $29.95 after rebate from Staples. 802.11b is only 11Mbs, but since I'm really only using it to share the DSL, it's fine.
