i've had my phillips dvdr75 for about 3 months now and it has worked flawlessly. the one thing i forgot to do is clean the lens. well tonight i popped a phillips magnavox lens cleaner in it and when it was done my recorder would recognize a disc in it, but wouldn't show the menu screen and wouldn't record or anything else. i unplugged it and tried a couple other discs in it as well and still the same thing. so i tried running the lens cleaner through again and now it seems ot be working fine. has anyone ever experienced anything similar to this?

I wouldn't worry too much. That's normal when cleaning, at least it was frequent in my old VCR, never happened on my DVDR75 yet, but since I have a dog, my children use DVD's, and the machine is 30cm above the floor...
