I want to add text that flows across the bottom of the screen, from right to left, on my DVD video. For about 10 to 15 seconds.
What software do you recommend for this?
    Thanks.

Any editor with overlay capabilities should be able to do this - Premiere, Vegas, etc.

Some of the free apps like AviSynth and VirtualDub can do it too. Are you looking to hard code the text into the video or are you wanting to make subtitles that can be turned on or off?

I want the text to come up across the bottom of the screen automatically, without having to press any button on the remote..
So if thats what you mean by "Hard code" then yes.
    Thanks.

Here's a guide for adding them using SSA & VDub...

If you'd rather use AviSynth, there's some info here that might help you put a script together....
