I have these shirts i bought from Old Navy and the fabric is soo amazingly thick it wont breath and I need clothes that are thin and breath cause I do work outside.

Anything i can use to stretch and thin out the fabric, maybe some sea water?

If I were you I would go out and buy some more thinner shirts, and save the thicker ones for winter.

Does seawater actually do anything like that? I've never heard that one.

Wash your shirts in hot water
Put them in the dryer on low heat
Add about 20lbs of gravel to the dryer
    Dry shirts for 1 hour

Disclaimer: I am no way responsible for any damage that may be done to your dryer by suggesting you add gravel to it. Dryer must be commercial grade if you get my drift. Also I am in no way responsible for damages that may be to your local self service laundry mat.

the demographics of the area I live in dictate that the stores stock heavy clothing. It seems to be really popular (lots of roccawear and stuff)

I guess I'll look for some when i go to CA.

On the light side, these shirts are so heavy if the ocean is cold, they'll trap heat

This has worked for a few shirts that were tight on me...grab a chair and dress it up. Leave it overnight, and see if it worked the next morning.

See if the "dressed" chair went to work over night? I highly doubt that will happen.

Hey, why look a gift horse in the mouth? If the shirt wants to earn its own way, why argue?
