  1. Hello all

I have a movie which has a terrible sound. I also have the same movie with terrible quality but fine sound!, which I downloaded from internet. the movie that I downloaded is 3 parts and my movie is in one .avi file.

Now, I want to combine these 3 audio with the film.
I want one program that I can put those 3 audio and the movie in a time line and synchronize them together then save it as a new .avi .

Is there any software that can do that?

  3. hey grimey

I tried virtualdub, but it only attach the audios after eachother, and because my audio is in 3 parts and also for example, 2nd part starts with a few last secs of the 1st part, so i won't synchrone with the film.

that's why I looking for a software with timeline, so I can back and fort the audios to synchrone them with the film. Hope I explained well.
now, is there any program that do that?

  4. Hey What Grimey means is to use virtual Dub for combing the 3 avi's into one, no audio(turn off from the audio tab) Then you use VirtualDub Mod to put all of the audios into the one avi that you created from virtualDub (under the 'streams' tab) then you could save it as an avi with switchable audios, like an .ogm or .mkv file. Or if the audio was in three parts like i think you mean then yeah use virtualDub and combine the 3 avi's with the audio's

  5. Tricky.

Demux and decompress the audio all the AVIs.

Now, open up a multitrack sound editor like Audacity (it is free.. http://audacity.sf.net).
Put each audio clip on its own track, with the complete, one-part audio being the first, followed by each of the 3 parts in order. Align each of the parts so it matches the complete one-part audio exactly. Use loud noises (bangs, explosions, doors closing) which will look like a sharp spike to guidfe you. Then mute or delete the one-part audio track and export the audio as a WAV.

Now, mux it back in with Virtualdub and compress as desired.

If you need more detailed explainations, let me know. The whole process it tricky; you may not achieve perfect audio sync.
