  1. Hi

I just bought ATI Wonder VE-- PCI tuner card. I plan to use it as TV capture card and PVR so i don't miss important games!!!. I have ATI Radeon 9200 AGP as my primary videocard. I just did a completely fresh ( uninstalled all previous ATI software) install of ATI multimedia center 9.1. I also have latest ATI drivers for everything!

TV works but picture quality is so so. the real problem is that I can't capture any resultion heigher than ???X240. can't capture any more than 240 horizontal pixtels?? I need help??? I though one could easily capture 352X480 from VHS to DVD and even full D1 resolution.

Lordsmurf plzz help!! u know this stuff better than anyone!

    Thanks

That cards resolution is artifically kept low by the ATI drivers. Go here http://btwincap.sourceforge.net./

BTW I really have no idea how well that driver works, it's just one of the links I saved. Seems many people use it though.

  3. I use the btwincap drivers and they work at least as good as the ATi drivers as far as straight TV watching go (except it doesn't do closed captioning if that is important to you)

I don't capture so I can't tell you how well that works, but as thecoalman said, capturing is what most people use them for.
