I have a toshiba 2109, Pioneer dvl-919 and DVR-210. I know that the DVR-210 only records in -r, -rw but has anyone ever played dvd+r and +rw on these players and do they work?

Hello,
I don't have any experience with those recorders but I imagine they'll work. Check the back of your blank media. I believe the 4 types of recorded dvd media SHOULD play in any drive. It won't record unless the signs match, of course. It's just like popping them in regular dvd players. Just borrow those types from a friend and test them out. I'm sure they'll play (I think they all play fine in standard dvd-roms). Good luck experiementing.
