The reason why I ask is that I am getting these very odd artifacts (something like you'd see if your video card was way too overclocked in games) when I convert one video file to another (i.e. huffy to divx or xvid, quicktime to vob, etc.). I re-installed windows because it was really bugging me but the problem still persists. I think it might be my Radeon 9800 PRO (overclocked a little but games play visually flawless, and I underclocked the damn thing just to see if that would remedy the situation, but it didn't). Anyone experience anything like this? Very frustrating![]()

It usually means your resolution is too large for your bit rate. Try reducing the resolution or increasing the bit rate.

Your video card does not affect your conversion, it only affects what you see on your monitor.
