  1. Been looking all over the net for a solution to this one.

    I'm trying to burn AVI file which has 5 channel audio to DVD and maintain the 5.1 audio.

    Currently using Nero but it will only let me burn with stereo.

    other posts suggest that i seperate the audio stream and add it later. using virtual dub.

    Being lazy just want the easiest software to do it.

    any help would be greatly appreciated

    try winavi video converter, it claims that it can keep the ac3 5.1.

    You can do that with Ulead DVD Workshop as long as the audio is DVD compliant. When you get to the burn menu select "do not convert compliant files". Not sure but I think most Ulead DVD software has the same option.
