I am redoing 2 WEEKS NOTICE with a custom menu using TMPGEnc DVD author. Just doing a main menu and no chapter menu. I have the title of the movie, the picture that it inserts and some more text. The issue is the picture it adds is fuzzy and blurry. I have added other pics and they are fuzzy too. WIll it look fuzzy after burning? How can i add more text to the menu? I used a 1024x768 (& 800x600) wallpaper image of Sandra and its still blurry.

  2. If you open the image in another program does it look blurryfluzzy? I would guess it has something to do with the way it is being captured as I don't have any problem with images. I have occasionaly had a blurry image but when I look at the actual image in another program it is becuase it actualy is blurry especially if you zoom in a little.

As far as adding text, you can't. You must select one of the templates they supply and edit the text on it. That is probably the only complaint with the program and they know about the weakness and will be enhancing it in the version that will be released in early 2005. So far I have been able to work around the limitations by selecting different templates and editing the text that is on the template.

  3. I've had the same issue with blurry images on the menu pages. In my experience, it always looks fine after authoring.

I would suggest that you go ahead and author, then view with a software player like Power DVD or WinDVD to see how it looks before you burn to disc.

i quit because after 22% into it DVD Author would error out saying illegal AC3 audio. I went ahead and burned it and it plays fine so i dont know why it said that.

Exactly how did you add the picture? Sounds like you added the picture to the button instead of the background.

Double click on the background (not a picture or button) and add a picture. (Or click on Edit, then Add Background Picture).

The only way I've found to add text is to put the text on the picture in other programs, then use that for the background.
