    Hi
I was just wondering which program i can use to rip a dvd so that i can leave the main film almost untouched and remove certain extras(But leave others) and still keep the menu's
i've seen the proffesional ones where they have done it ie:Centropy
The programs i normally use are Dvd shrink,Dvd Decrypter,And Nero.
And as far as i know i can't do it with any of them

    Hello,
I believe dvd lab and dvd remake will let you cut out extras and leave the menus intact. Though, these are payware as far as I know. You may want to look for some program called vobblanker I think. It does the same thing. I think you can also strip the menus and the author your disc any way you want. Not sure how to do that though. Good luck.

    Hello,
I just checked out the info on vobblanker:

VobBlanker is a tool to blank/remove VTS video titles(like dvd extras), Replace titles with an external one, Strip audio tracks, IFO tables adjusting, including "the famous" TMAPTI, Works per VTS: can process a single VTS, some VTS or the complete DVD.

Check it out on the tools section. It's freeware!! Give it a look. One review says you can use it in conjunction with dvdshrink. I may have to look at this one myself.

  5. This is my first post. I hope it is useful.

Try TitleSet Blanker as well. It can only blank complete Title Sets as the name implies so if you have a clip in the same title set as your main movie you cannot get rid of it using TitleSet Blanker.
However, most of the time, extras have their own title set.
One advantage of TitleSet Blanker (over VOBBlanker) is speed.
Make sure you then use IFOEdit to "Get VTS Sectors".
And while in IFOEdit play the DVD and go through the menus, etc.
In some instances blanking a title set stops the DVD from working. In that case you have to re-open TitleSet Blanker and restore the original files. Then try blanking fewer title sets. On DVDs with problems try to leave the menus alone.
Once you make sure your blanked DVD files work you can open them in DVD Shrink for further processing. You do not need to delete the original VOB files backed up by TitleSet Blanker if you intend to run it through Shrink.
    It wasn't me.
