    I've got a Dolby Digital logo around here (for non commercial use, OK!). I've seen that among other SONY VEGAS 5.0, AC-3 encoding options, there seems to be an option for EX encoding:
    -hit render as AC-3
    -Choose 5.1 surround DVD
    -Custom;
    -on Ext. Bitstream guide, click Enable Extended Bitstream Information;
    -Dolby Surround EX mode choose Dolby Surround EX encoded.

    Questions:
    1. Even without checking the box Enable Extended Bitstream Information, wil the AC-e file will be encoded as Dolby Digital Surround · EX? I mean, only choosing 5.1 Surround DVD is enough for encoding as DOlby Digital Surround · EX?
    2.Anyway, what kind of logo do I have to select to put among the final credits: Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Surround · EX?

    I need some help please.

    Thanks in advance, folks!

    I guess everybody went to Mars or someplace else. It's funny to post a message and answer your own questions to help the other users. Let''s get to the point: according to many users at Sony's forum, the answer is yes. If you check one of the boxes as you render an audio file as AC-3 (Enable extended bitstream information) and choose on Dolby Surround EX mode the option Dolby Surround EX encoded; the answer is positive. You'll get a Dolby Digital Surround EX file. Vegas 5.0 b really rocks. Bye bye Premiere........
