  1. When converting an AVI file to DVD, it burns ok, then when I play it back on my DVD player, half way through the film, the audio jumps back about 5 minutes and stays like that for the rest of the film?
I have heard people say I should convert the video and audio seperatly, but being a newbie I dont know if this will fix the problem?
Can anybody help, and if I do have to convert the audio and video seperatly, can anbody point me in the direction of a dummys guide for this?
    Thanks

  2. you sure the source is fine ? the gap is way too big.

you could convert the file into dvd compliant with something else, and then just burn it with Ulead.

    maybe a bad media ???

do it one more time.....I use it and no problems.

Can you watch the avi without the same problem? If it is fine, you could demux it (seperate streams) and then combine them in Ulead. What are you encoding your audio to in Ulead? Try pcm.

There are a lot of ways to demux avi. A free simple method is to use vdub and save audio as a seperate wav and the video with "no audio" checked.
There are probably other methods, but I am not sure if the use freeware.
