  1. I have a cyberhome recorder and since last night there is a disc in it and won't come out. It would say reading or no disc or open but it won't open. I have unplugged it overnight and is still doing it. Anyway to open the tray manually? Thanks.

  5. Try unplugging the player for 10 seconds, then plug it back in. Before switching the power on press the eject button. If that doesn't work, try holding down the eject button while turning the power on.

  6. Still getting the same messages. And the weird thing is on the menu of the remote I press the set up button and would let me scroll down the options. I even tired the factory reset option. I never had a dvd get stuck in a player or dvd before. I'm really good at getting videos out of vcrs.

  9. I been looking over old posts and may have found one that will help me. Only thing is I'm not sure how to take the dvd drive out like they are saying. I do have the cover off and am trying to locate the eject button like they said to.

  10. I read that post again and I think all I had to do was push the button they were talking about. I powered it off for ten seconds and it came out! I am so happy! Thanks for all your help. I am never using khypermedias again.

    Hello,
I'm glad you got your disc out. However:
Angie21m-I am never using khypermedias again
I've successfully used khypermedias numerous times. I've used them in a pc dvd burner and a friend has used them in a standalone dvd recorder as well. They even play on my old picky Sony dvd player. I'm sure you won't forgot your expierience but to others out there they do work.

P.S. Everyone's expieriences are different but I just wanted to point out that not Everyone has had problems

I had the same problem with my Cyberhome. Try loading the latest firmware. It is suppose to help take care of the disc tray not opening. I have not had any more problems since I updated.
