    I have an mpeg2 file that won't play right on my dvd player and I need to know first how to find out if it is ntsc or pal and then figure out how to covert it to a playable mpeg2 file or svcd. Iam really new at all of this.

    If you open the file up in VirtualDubMod, go to File and select "File Information..." it will give you all the details about that file.

    To convert it, see the guides for conversion on your left. Here's the link (for speed):
