subtitle problm with virtualdub & tmpgenc

hello, can somebody pls help me, I am in the process of adding permanent sub to avi to make it into a vcd.

I tried two method one is virtualdub, was able to add the subtitle but having problm with the compression it turn out 20GB.

the second was Tmpgenc, I heard from someone that tmpgenc can directly add the subtitle, but i wasn't able to do it, I already put directshow into its highest priority but still wont load the subtitle.

I did follow the instruction in "how to frameserve with virtualdub", btw, how long does it take to frameserve???

from the guides--> "This window should appear, and it should say AVIFile only under Frameclients installed:
Don't Stop it until you have encoded the video."

I tried it twice, once for half a hour, and another for one hour still nothing happen, so click the stop serving. and that for only 350avi!!!

I tried to uninstall virtualdub and then install but still the same.
