I have an ATI AIW 9800 PRO but i get light and dark "bands" which travel down the screen I though it was the cables i was using so i bought some monster cable thx certifed cables but that didnt cure the problem can someone tell me what it is and how to fix it???

Sounds like macrovision? Are you trying to capture a commercial VHS?

no just capturing tv shows off digitial cable oh i was wrong bands travel up the screen usually hard to see untill you know what your looking for but now i can spot them all the time.

So... could it just be a playback issue? are you playing through some software or is this a finished dvd?
Maybe it's just the interlacing showing up in your software...
Also.. what format are you capping? -
