  1. Hi there,

I have the Viper V770 with the Riva TNT 2 cgipset.

The card doesn't have a TV-Out so I was wondering, are there any adapters that will allow me to have a TV-Out in my PC ?

    Thx in advance.

  2. No adaptors that I know about. However you CAN get a Hollywood magic card for under $50 and that will allow you to have video out for movies (DVD and VCD and SVCD) It WILL NOT however allow you to use your TV as a computer monitor. I have a hollywood card and can't recommend it enough....

  4. Not quite waht I was looking for.

A friend of mine said that he used a gadget to enable TV-Out in his Voodoo 3000 for about $5.

    Could that happen ?

  6. I have a Voodoo 3000 and I REALLY wouldn't recommend picking that up. The drivers are becoming more obselete each day...much better to either get a hollywood magic card or fork over the bucks for a newer card....

  7. heyheyhey, i also have a v3 and, well, i never expierienced (<- right spelling?) any driver problems except in Colin McRae 2.0.

But the TV-Out isn't that good. I recently bought a Radeon VE an have to say that this card looks realy good on TV. I think it's even faster than my V3, but i didn't test this, 'cause the Radeon works in my DVD-Player-PC, not in the machine i'm typing this in.

I didn't mean to recommend it, but i thougth someone's friend only paid $5 for enabling his v3's tv-out. I think he only bought the cable.
