I downloaded Intervideo DVDCopy because of that article at http://dvd.box.sk/articles8.php that showed it was the clear winner in quality. I know people have saif they think the original photo and the dvdcopy photo are the same and i tend to think they are right, but I downloaded it before reading that.
This is taken directly from their website

"Auto Fit
Dual Layer DVDs to Single DVD -- Compress a 9.4 GB dual layer DVD to 4.7GB with no loss of content or quality"
How can they claim this?

...because no one can stop them from saying it...
Intervideo DVD Copy is total crap...steer clear from it! Just my honest opinion
YouŽll be better of with DVDShrink or Dvd2one. If you want really good quality, IŽd suggest a re-encoder like CCE. ThereŽs more to learn, but the quality is well worth it
In regards to the test you mentioned, it was total bull...the pictures are the same..."This is true in all walks of life: Man takes care of the quantity, woman the quality." -
Yeah I always use Shrink, Ive only considered DVDCopy because of that article, but I dont think im going to bother with it.
