Is it worth spending the extra money for a Super G wireless card or should I get a regular G card.
I'm using a public 802.11g wireless network at school.

If you plan to use it for your own network in the future that is set up for the higher speed interface, then yes. But your school system probably uses the 54Mhz system and the faster interface would be wasted. You could check with the system administrator to be sure.

The other thing to consider is that for internet use there is a lot of wasted bandwidth on even the 54G network. I doubt even your school is putting access out that fast to individuals. The usefulness of the 108G network is when you're transferring files between computers or gaming with them. The increased speeds would be noticeable then. However is the wireless AP doesn't support it then you won't get these speeds to even others with 108G computers (unless they set up their antenna as a proxy AP).
So as redwudz put it: get one if you plan on setting up a fast wireless home network in the near future. Who knows when the next step in wireless technology will be, no need to get the fastest now if it's obsolete in a few years when you set up your own network.
