I have the ATI AIW that I am going to use tonight to cap a 30 min TV show. Trouble is that when I schedule a record unless I use MPEG1 or 2 (VCD or DVD etc) the time remaining on my HD is shown as under 30 minutes. I have 30GB free on my HD which when using to cap to Divx it starts off by showing the time remaining as 25 mins then slowly climbs to 22 hrs. This is a problem as I can't schedule the thing to record I have to leave the thing capturing all night then edit out what I want. Xvid doesn't capture at all it simply crashes the TV recorder (no errors just stops responding).
I also get audio popping sounds every minute or so which is kind of making capturing pointless at the moment but I would like to at least figure out how to get the thing to capture video then sort out the audio later.
Can anyone shed any light on this ?

Buddha says that, while he may show you the way, only you can truly save yourself, proving once and for all that he's a lazy, fat bastard.
