  1. I have a DVD with 5 .VOB files. If I drop the TS folder into Toast and try to burn it starts to encode and then trys to write but says there is a problem with the source material.

It plays fine with iDVD but I just can't burn it. If I drop VOB.0 it only shows the menu screen, VOB.1 - VOB.5 are the movie. So if I drop just .VOB. it encodes, and trys to burn but hangs about 75% through.

Any ideas on an app that I might be able to make an .img of this with please?

  3. Thanks for the quick reply. Ok I am running Toast Version 6 Titanium.

I am dropping the .ts folder onto toast under the Video option, then DVD Video, NTSC and Standard Quality it shows as UDF-Bridge.

I did try the way you show once but as you can guess no luck.

I am currently trying by adding the individual .vobs into Sizzle will this work or will it put a menu up each time it loads the next .vob??

Try what decay suggested again. Video_ts folders should go under advanced/Data(UDF) section, not the video section.

I have tried this now 3 times and still it doesn't work. 1st time DVD p[layer said invalid disc, 2nd time Bueffer Under run, 3rd time invalid disc.

Please, please someone else give me some idea of how to get this to work.

I have burned as a Video (DVD Format) before and it has worked but this just won't burn???

I know have 2 the same and neither will burn. I am using Ritek genuine discs. and I have a Wharfedale DVD . Like I said I can play these fine thru iDVD, but it's not quite the same as on a widescreen TV.

    Help please............again!!

  6. How did you build your VIDEO_TS folder? Did you just name a folder VIDEO_TS and toss the VOBs inside? If so you need to build the folder with an authoring program like sizzle or the authoring tabs of FFMPegX or MPEG2 Works. Then you can drag the folder into your UDF data tab in Toast. If you aren't sure, be sure that DVD Player can play the TS folder from the disk.

First step after launching Toast 6 is to select the type of disc you want to burn. In this case, it's Data. Tick DVD-ROM (UDF) after choosing the Advanced tab. (see my inline pic)

Then choose New Disc (button on bottom left of Toast window) and name it in ALLCAPS whatever you want it to be called. Now choose Add (next to New Disc) and name the folder AUDIO_TS. Next, drag your VIDEO_TS folder from your hard drive onto the window. It should look like my pic.

  9. HOORAY!!! I DID IT!!

    Thanks Guys and Gals,

I finally got it to work. Not exactly sure what I did or didn't do the first few times.

I know I didn't use CAPS for the Disc Name. An dthis time I saved it as an Image first just to be sure.

Once again a big thankyou to all who helped me.
