  2. Okay maybe a little more info, when i close my capture program my line input gets muted in my sound options. So even if i just start up my tuner to watch tv i must reenable my line input sound,is this normal?Sound works fine once enabled(Line-in) for viewing but when i try to capture it doesnt seem to capture any sound but play back (PIC) is great. This is the 1st issue with my sound that i have run into an i play alot of games(fps)an listen to music, an have never had an issue with my sound in the 2 years i'v had this board.

    ANY HELP PLEASE

  3. in w98 my volume meter goes zero too, in fact I have to re-adjust it everytime.
if your hear sound while watching is good beginning, have you checked "line in" in recording options of mixer? have you told your software to acquire audio too, and which format to use (mono/stereo, bitrate, hz)?
hope this help or that somebody else will help you better!

  4. I'm pretty sure WinVCR mutes the line in when you exit. I don't think it unmutes it when it starts either, which is really annoying.

  5. Thanks for the help, Line-in is checked (I have to after i close WinVCR).I can choose audio options in my cards stock recording software but it still makes a silent AVI,an the audio capture menu options are greyed out in WinVCR.Sound works perfect if I'm just watching TV but No sound on recordings on both software.I'm, going out on a limb thinking its a driver issueI have the 689 southbridge/northbidge chipset i think for audio( at work can't look. I f i use a Program like Vdub would this help me narrow it down?
