  1. yep i'm new into DVD/video/capturing, unfortunally i bought already some hardware (guess there will be better stuff outthere) before discovering this great site.
anyway my tv tuner/capture device, you find here:
    http://www.sunsway.com.hk/products/tv_capture.html
the software included is decent, it allows to modify many settings.
my problem is when i want to capture TV into another software (i tried alot): i have display but NO sound. Capturing from a camcorder works, but when i switch to TV-tuner......no sound. Using the included cardsoftware works perfect, so my audio-settings are correct. Anyone a suggestion??

    Hi stompinne

It is possible that the bundled software is recording the sound trough the PCI bus.

The capture card can be hooked up to the line-in of your sound card. Or just by-pass the capture card altogether.

Most 3rd party software will be using your line-in as the sound recording input.

Go to control panel, sounds & mutimedia, audio, sound recording, volume make sure line-in is checked and not muted, and not microphone or CD-in unchecked.
    Apply and OK

You should find that the other programs will now record sound.
