  1. i've been into the archive.org site latelly and i have a few movies
downloaded as avi files as well as "editable" mpeg-4 files__

i'd like to use some of the audio and i thought i could open the
files in nuendo [which i've used quick time files before to do this]
and chop'em up a bit but avi files didn't give the audio track and
    the mpeg-4 couldn't be recognized__

i've also tried premiere 6.5 and although the audio track from the
avi files was present no sound was heard - and no luck with mpeg-4__

i've checked the faq's on archive.org and they only had info for mac
users, and suppouselly the "editable" mpeg-4 files could be used in final
cut pro for editing but no other info for pc programs__

any ideas on how to get around this without having to re-record the
audio stream as it plays?? maybe i'm missing some codecs to do this
or is there other programs that would let me do this??
