  1. Wonder if anyone can help. I'm toying with buying a TBC and was looking primarily at the DataVideo TBC-1000. However, at the online shop, I noticed a DATAVIDEO TBC-100 PCI STYLE TBC which is approx 100 pounds (170 US Dollars) cheaper than the TBC-1000 at the same shop. Can anyone give any recommendations - I only need to use it for capturing to my PC, therefore the fact that it's PCI isn't a prob. The shop in question supplies spec sheets for both items:

    http://www.holdan.co.uk/info/data/tbc-100specs.htm and
    http://www.holdan.co.uk/info/data/tbc1000specs.htm

They look very similar, other than only 1 input / output and no audio connections (use audio on PC for audio capture).

Are these products comparable, is the quality from one as good as the other? Any help would be greatly appreciated.[/url]

Check out ebay also... I got a great deal on a professional grade Prime-image TBC there. It's a tool that many production houses are shedding as they go all digital..

I opened up my TBC-1000 and found that it consisted of an audio/video distribution board and the TBC-100 board! So in terms of performance, the two should be absolutely identical...
