  1. Hi-- I must be having a brain meltdown. I've ready the other thread that tries to solve this problem... but the solution of putting the files in the same directory doesn't work for me!!!

I have dvd2avi, smartripper, and tmpgenc w/ vfapi in the same directory.

At the step of selecting the video source / d2v file from tmpgenc I still get the error, "can not open or unsupported file"...

I'm stuck stuck stuck!! and it sucks sucks sucks!

    Any help would be appreciated!

    checklist:
dvd2avi.vfp is in the same directory like dvd2avi.exe
TMPGEnc.vfp is in the same directory like TMPGEnc.exe
    run TMPGENcVFP_INSTALL.bat
check TMPGEnc vfp is registered to VFAPI (TMPG>option)
    check VFAPI plugin (dvd2avi>help)
    TMPG> option> enviromental setting> VFAPI> check dvd2avi project file reader and/or select a higher priority.
Do not delete or move the .vob files. Open *.d2v with wordpad to check the correct path.

  3. Did you just put the vfapi on the same directory? you need to run it first to install it to tmpeg and make sure it's for the right version. I've never run into the kind of problem you have since I've started using tmpeg and DVD2Avi together.
