having trouble playing burned dvd on apex ad-2600

i recieved a metallica dvd of rock am ring 2003 in a trade

i burned it in nero and went to play it and it played like it was in fast forward and the sound was like chipmunks

my first guess is it is doing this because it is a pal dvd but i have had success playing pal dvds in it before

the person who sent it to me says it played fine in his player

can anyone help me out

1. there is no original, it is a bootleg dvd
2. on my computer it plays fine
3. nero 6
4. system specs anything specifically?
