  1. Hi,

I am having serious problems with Nero 5.5/6
At the end of virtually all of my DVD burns I get the following failure:
"Could not write end of disc-at-once"

Having read elsewhere on the forum it seems this a problem with Nero.

I have tried using RecordMAX DX that came with my LiteON 851SX Burner but unfortunately the burner has Smart-Burn technology and I cannot force it to write at 2x which I need for decent playback on my DVD player with my BulkPaq Printable (Prodisc SO3) discs. 4x writes are just awful.

Can anyone help? How to turn off smart-burn or alternative software, have tried:
    Alcohol 120%
    RecordNow DX 4.60
    Trial version of RecordNow 6
    Nero 5.5/6
    Cheetah

I use XP - and use DVD shrink 3.1 to burn to a HDD folder and burn later.

    Thanks

  3. Couldn't get it to burn my ISOs (had to convert shrink HDD copies to ISOs to try other software)
    Maybe I was being thick?

edit: Yes dumbass you were being thick - just figured up decrypter... fingers crossed

Yeah I use Nero for data DVD's only.

There just seem to be some lingering long-term bugs in the Nero VideoDVD burning engine.

It burns ALL manner of CD's just fine, it's a great program, it just can't seem to be reliable for Video DVD.
